WHO I AM
I’m Javaris Dixon, a track sprinter and multi-event athlete from Broward County, Florida. I compete in the 100m, 200m, 400m, long jump, and high jump. My goal is to compete at the collegiate level and deliver elite speed, explosiveness, and consistency wherever a program needs me.
I stepped away from football so I could go all in on track and field. After my junior year, I made the intentional decision to focus exclusively on my track career. That choice gave me the space to train harder, recover better, and develop the strength and technical precision required to compete at the next level. What some saw as a pause was actually my biggest step forward. Senior year is when it all shows.
Academically, I’m an AICE Cambridge Magnet student maintaining a 4.32 weighted GPA while taking Dual Enrollment and Honors courses. I approach the classroom with the same focus and discipline I bring to the track. Excellence in both is non-negotiable.
My 53.24 in the 400m isn’t just a number. It’s proof of what I look like when the race turns ugly in the final 150 meters. While others tighten up and fade, I stay tall, keep my arms driving, and maintain smooth, powerful turnover. That composure under fatigue is what I bring to every event, from the 100m to the long jump.
